How to confirm your account

When you create a MailerLite account, it needs to be confirmed before you’re able to send campaigns or install forms on your website. This confirmation process is essential to ensure the reputation of our servers.

If your account is not confirmed, this doesn’t necessarily mean that you can’t use MailerLite. We may simply just require a bit more information from you in your profile.

Before you request account confirmation, you'll need to verify your email address. Once you've signed up you should immediately receive a verification email in your inbox.

If you have not received a verification email, you can navigate to your Dashboard and click Resend.

If you are not receiving emails from us, please contact our support team using our contact form.

Before you can start exploring MailerLite’s features, you must complete your profile on your dashboard. This information will help us know more about your organization and what you want to achieve with MailerLite. 

To complete your profile:

  1. Navigate to the Dashboard page.

  2. On the Complete profile step, click Complete.

  3. Fill out your profile information.

  4. Click Next step.

  5. Fill out your organization information. Make sure to read and agree to the Anti-Spam policy

  6. Click Next step.

As soon as you complete your profile, you’ll be taken to the Dashboard, where you can start using all of MailerLite’s premium features with the free 30-day trial that’s included upon signup.

After successfully signing up for an account, you will have the ability to fully explore the app and most of its premium features, including the creation of campaigns, landing pages, and websites. 

However, to start sending campaigns or publishing sites, your account must first be confirmed by MailerLite.

You can confirm your account in a few ways.

Creating a campaign:

  1. Head to Campaigns and create a new campaign. 

  2. Fill out the campaign details. Click Next.

  3. Choose how you’d like to start designing your campaign. Click Next.

  4. Design your campaign. Once you’re done, click Done editing.

  5. In the Review and confirm page, find the notification about account confirmation and click the button to start filling out the confirmation form.

Creating an automation:

  1. Head to Automations and click New automation.

  2. Choose a template or start from scratch.

  3. Give your automation a name and click Start building.

  4. On the sidebar, find the notification about account confirmation and click the button to start filling out the confirmation form.

Filling out the email sending confirmation request

If your account is not confirmed, you will see the option to Get Confirmed on your MailerLite Dashboard and Plan and Billing page.

  1. Fill out the following form carefully. Each of your answers will be reviewed by a MailerLite account manager. 

  2. Mark whether or not you currently have subscribers, and your methods for collecting them. Select the options that are only relevant to you. If you feel that more information is required, select Other and provide as much information as you need.

  3. Specify the type of content you plan to send or include in your landing pages/websites. Ensure the information that you provide explains clearly what you plan to send in your newsletters or publish on your sites. If you’re promoting a specific product or service, this is the space to tell us all about it.

    - For example: eBooks related to a fitness program, new product updates for a clothing shop, online course information for a cooking academy. Answers like “emails” or “text and images” are less likely to be confirmed right away

  4. If you do not have a website, click No to enter other information such as your social media or any landing pages or relevant links that would help us understand your organization.

Note: If you want to get confirmed for publishing landing pages and websites as well, make sure to answer Yes to the question about using website builders. If you answer No, your confirmation request will only be regarding email sending.

However, you can later request confirmation for site publishing on another page in another instance. Scroll down to read how to fill out the site publishing confirmation request.

To begin the process of confirmation to publish sites, you can either create and design a landing page or website first, or use the confirmation form as explained above.

  1. Head to Sites and click Create site.

  2. GIve your site a name, select the type, select the group(s) where subscribers will be added upon signup, and choose a template or start from scratch

  3. Once you’re done designing the site, click Done editing.

  4. On the Overview page, you’ll be prompted to fill out the confirmation request for site publishing. Fill out the following form carefully. Each of your answers will be reviewed by a MailerLite account manager. 

  5. Specify whether you have previously used a website builder before and if so, which one.

  6. Then, describe what kind of content you want to include in your site.

Note: If you’re also interested in email marketing, such as campaign sending, automation workflows, and forms, make sure to sure to select Yes when asked about sending emails. You’ll be prompted to complete the email marketing confirmation request form in the next page.

When done, you will be redirected to the Dashboard page.

Once you have completed your confirmation request, you will have access to most of MailerLite's paid features.

However, email sending, site publishing, and live chat with customer support will only be activated once your request has been reviewed. The confirmation process takes less than 24 hours, and an email will be sent to you once a decision has been made.

It is not necessary to have a website to use Mailerlite.

If you do not have a website yet, or your website is not ready, you can request confirmation without one. You will be required to answer additional questions about your business instead. In order to get your account confirmed as fast as possible without a website, ensure your answers give the reviewer a clear understanding of what your business is all about.

If your account isn’t immediately confirmed, don’t worry! This doesn’t mean that you can’t use MailerLite. If you notice your account was unconfirmed, check your emails. You will find an email from MailerLite with the reason for your account’s unconfirmation.

Usually, the reason for unconfirmation can be quickly fixed and you can resubmit for confirmation right away by logging in and updating your profile with more information.

For example, if the information provided about what kind of content you plan to send is unclear, your account will be temporarily unconfirmed due to a lack of information. In this case, you can simply update the information you provided and resubmit for confirmation.

If your account is not approved, this doesn’t necessarily mean that you can’t use Mailerlite. We may simply just require a bit more information from you in your profile.

Before you request approval, you must complete your profile on your dashboard. This information will be reviewed by a MailerLite account manager before being approved, so it is important that your answers are clear and concise.

To complete your profile:

  1. Navigate to Dashboard.

  2. Click the Complete profile button.

  1. Fill out your company/business information.

  2. Specify your methods for collecting subscribers. Select the options that are only relevant to you. If you feel that more information is required, select Other and provide as much information as you need.

  1. Specify the type of content you plan to send or include in your landing pages/websites. Ensure the information that you provide explains clearly what you plan to send in your newsletters or publish on your sites.

    For example: eBooks, new product updates, online course information. Answers like “emails” or “text and images” are less likely to be approved right away.

  2. Answer the remaining questions about your organization.

  3. Read the Anti-spam policy and check the box if you agree.

  4. Click Save.

Once you’ve completed your profile, then you can click the Request approval button.

The fastest way to be approved is to verify your website ownership. Providing your website and domain email address helps to expedite the approval process as we can quickly learn more about your business.

To verify your website ownership:

  1. Enter your website domain and click Next.

  1. Enter the email address associated with your domain. Note that the website domain is already included after the @ symbol, so you only need to enter the value of your email address before the @ symbol.

  1. Click Next.

A verification email will be sent to your domain email address. Once you have verified your email address, your account will automatically be submitted for review by a MailerLite account manager. You will be notified via email with the result of your approval request.

If you do not have a domain email address, then you will need to request approval without a website.

It is not necessary to have a website to use Mailerlite.

If you do not have a website yet, or your website is not ready to be reviewed, you can request approval without one. You will be required to answer additional questions about your business instead. Your answers will be manually reviewed, so make sure that the answers are clear and informative.

To request approval without a website:

  1. Navigate to Dashboard page.

  2. Click Request approval.

  3. Instead of entering a website domain, select the option I don’t have my own website.

  1. In the Social media URL field, copy/paste the link to your social media page.

  1. In the field labeled Tell us about your business, provide a clear description of your business, with any relevant links that would help us understand your organization. If you’re promoting a specific product or service, this is the space to tell us all about it.

  2. Click Next.

Your account will immediately be submitted to be reviewed by a MailerLite account manager. You will be notified of the result of your approval request via email within 24 hours.

Note: In order to get your account approved as fast as possible, ensure your answers give the reader a clear understanding of what your business does.

If your account isn’t immediately approved, don’t worry! This doesn’t mean that you can’t use MailerLite. If you notice your account was disapproved, check your emails. You will find an email from MailerLite with the reason for your account’s disapproval.

Usually, the reason for disapproval can be quickly fixed and you can resubmit for approval right away.

For example, if the information provided about what kind of content you plan to send is unclear, your account will be temporarily disapproved due to a lack of information. In this case, you can simply update the information you provided and resubmit for approval.

To resubmit for approval:

  1. Log in to your MailerLite account.

  2. At the top of any page, you will see a message regarding your approval. Click the link in this message in order to repeat the approval steps and submit for approval for a second time.
