Quiz blocks in your landing pages are a fun and engaging way to collect subscribers for your email list. Different from surveys, quizzes allow landing page visitors to guess the correct answer to your questions rather than providing subjective answers.

  1. Create a landing page.

  2. In your landing page editor, click the Blocks tab.

  3. Drag the Quiz block from the sidebar and drop it onto your landing page.

Note: Once you add a Quiz block to your landing page, you will notice that both the Quiz block and Survey block will appear greyed out. This is because you can only include one Quiz or Survey block on your landing page.

  1. Edit your quiz block settings.

When you have your Quiz block selected. You will see three tabs in the sidebar: Questions, Rules, and Settings.

Under the Questions tab is where you will add your quiz questions. There are five types of questions you can add to a quiz:

  • Intro - This step is compulsory and introduces your quiz. We suggest adding a short description here

  • Multiple choice - A question with multiple answers

  • Multiple image choice - A question with multiple images as answers

  • Signup form - This step displays sign up form to collect the email addresses of participants

  • Quiz results - This compulsory step shows participants the quiz results. Here visitors will see their quiz score with options to share results or to take the quiz again

Each quiz can have 30 questions. To add additional questions to your quiz, click the Add a question template button.

Then click the pencil icon to edit the Question, Description, and Answers

Note: When using multiple-choice questions, be sure to check the box next to the correct answer.

Make your quiz dynamic by adding a rule. In the Rules tab, you can predefine a rule that skips questions based on how a participant responds to another question.

For example, you can create a rule that if a participant selects a specific answer, they skip to a particular question.

To add rules to your Quiz block:

  1. Click the Quiz block to select it.

  2. In the sidebar, click the Rules tab.

  3. Click Add new rule.

  1. Apply your conditions and click Save.

Under the Settings tab is where you can apply design settings to your Quiz block such as Background and Content style.

You can also opt to show survey progress under Survey settings by toggling Show survey progress to on.

Once you’re satisfied with the design of your landing page and quiz, you can save and publish your landing page by clicking the Save and publish button. Alternatively, you can save your landing page as a draft.

Note: Once someone has answered the quiz, it won’t be possible to edit it or add a new quiz block.
